It seems that top Japanese porn star Nanami Matsumoto (松本菜奈実) has a fan or admirer in the ruling Liberal Democratic Party.
The J-cup AV idol shared on Twitter with her followers that she was surprised to receive a notification in the mail from the LDP congratulating her on joining the party — and enclosing her party membership card.
She claims to have done no such thing and is confused as to how the LDP got ahold of her address.
Could it be a simple bureaucratic slip-up? Or did a worker in the party just really want to make contact with her, and abused his power to find out her personal information using government resources?
Or is this a stealth marketing stunt by the LDP’s public relations bods, in the hope of attracting new voters? I.e., they involuntarily recruit the porn star as a member and use her to promote the party to horny men?
Hmm… Not sure how effective that would be unless they could follow up with AV-inspired policies. Here’s one, for starters: change the obscenity laws so that it’s not illegal to depict genitalia.
Now that’s what we call “liberal” and “democratic.”
