Fumi Nikaido is a sprightly 20 years old Okinawan but already has her fans.
A child star, she made her debut as a teen idol when 12. She is probably best known overseas for her role in Himizu in 2011.
In addition to her prolific career (starring in several films a year), she posed nude for Weekly Playboy in 2014 and an accompanying photo book. Sadly, it wasn’t a full-frontal “hair nude” shoot, though that might even be illegal, given that she was under 20.

Mero Imai: Olympic snowboarder, former call girl, nude model, and mother
Mero Imai is a woman of many talents: a former snowboard half-pipe Olympic competitor, a one-time hostess and call girl, a nude model, and a bondage slave (photographically, at least).

Naomi Kawashima, actress and former hair nude model, dies
In general, this is a pretty positive blog. But we sometimes have sad news to relate.
After some weeks of media speculation about her health, the actress Naomi Kawashima has died at the age of 54. She was undertaking an operation to remove bile duct cancer.
Kawashima is also one of the most famous actresses to do a “hair nude” photo-book. Unlike her hair nude peers like Rie Miyazawa and Miho Kanno, Kawashima was already in her thirties at this point and it was a way for her to make a comeback.
She released “WOMAN”, shot by Tatsumi Watanabe. This was in 1993, at the height of the hair nude boom. It was a big hit for her.
Naomi, you will be missed. Here is a tribute to your beauty.

Yuka Kosaka, former Gravure model and idol, now runs nursery in Chiba
What happens to the literally thousands of Gravure idols, music idols, and minor porn stars when their careers dry up?
Some go into prostitution, some get married. Still others become writers, like Nayuka Mine, or politicians, like Ayaka Shiomura or Renho.
Well, some switch tracks completely, like Yuka Kosaka.
She burst into the idol big time in 2004 when she won the Miss Young Magazine, and at her height was appearing on TV variety shows and in Gravure shoots.
Then in 2009 she retired and became something of a media joke due to her sudden weight gain. Her glory days seemed long behind her.
She then made a comeback in 2012, dropping from 71kg to 48kg (even less then her 52kg during her original Gravure career). To celebrate, she posed nude.
Today Kosaka is 30 years old and runs a nursery school in Ichihara City, Chiba.
She opened the school in April this year. While Kosaka is handling the business side of things, she can also be spotted looking after the youngsters.
In August she changed the Kanji for her name for her new career as a childcare writer and specialist.
However, she lives alone in Tokyo, with currently no plans to marry.

Porn star Mana Sakura goes to college to seduce horny medical students

Well, Gifu University seemed to be offering just that.

Gravure idol Ai Takabe busted for cocaine possession
There are five open secrets about the Japanese entertainment industry: the Yakuza are heavily involved; pedophilia and child abuse exists at Johnny’s; Gravure and music idols have to have sex to advance; idols have plastic surgery; and drugs are rampant.
Ironically, it’s the latter that is the most controversial — and carries the harshest penalties if exposed.
Ai Takabe has become the latest minor celebrity to face a drug scandal. The 27-year-old has been been busted with possessing cocaine that police found during a search (quite why they were conducting a search in the first place is unclear — perhaps she didn’t sleep with the right person).
The model, actress and sometime seiyuu voice actor tried to deny the drugs were hers but a urine test was positive for traces of the drug.
Her agency has canceled her contract, so while her actual sentence will be relatively light, her career is essentially over.
She was named most beautiful woman in Japan in 2004 and then joined an music idol group. She made her debut as an actress in 2006 and as a seiyuu in 2009.
At the age of 21 she appeared on a TV talk show and said she had never dated anyone, nor been kissed. In other words, she was a virgin. This soon attracted lots of otaku fans to her cause. After all, what’s better than a flower that has never been plucked?
She also became notorious for an appearance on a satellite channel adult variety show (the same Yoshimi Tokui TV show that had the “hand job karaoke” contest) where she helped girls unable to orgasm reach climax with the help of a denma massager. Even in such a setting, Takabe maintained her “pure” image and just looked embarrassed by the experience. Perhaps with such hypocrisy, it was only inevitable her downfall would eventually come.
Likely a comeback is off the cards for some time, though there is always AV.
